Mathematics department is one of the oldest department  of government degree college. Government degree college Chinturu is established in the year 2018.At present the department is offering B.Sc. with one stream (Maths Physis Chemistry). There are two sanctioned posts in the department of mathematics.

VISION

• To empower the building Scientists to equip themselves with sound mathematical knowledge and skills and to make them think and apply this knowledge to make mathematical models and complex problems in science and technology and day to day life

MISSION

• To build a rich intellectual potential embedded with inter disciplinary knowledge, human values and professional ethics among the youth, aspirant becoming engineers, technologists, so that they contribute to society and create a niche for a successful care.
• To make mathematics a subject of interest.
• To provide a healthy environment where students learn to be competent users of Mathematics and its applications.
• To motivate students to pursue research in various disciplines of societal needs by using their knowledge and experience in mathematics to solve many complicated problems.
